JD(U)-Congress discuss merger modalities

PONDICHERRY, FEB. 16. A delegation of the Pondicherry State Janata Dal (United) today discussed with the Pondicherry Congress president, V. Narayanasamy, the modalities for merger of the JD (U) with the Congress here.

The decision to dissolve the party was taken at a meeting of the office bearers of the JD (U) on February 10. Very soon a meeting would be held to formalise the merger.
