By Our Special Correspondent
CHENNAI,
FEB. 16.
The Communist Party of India (Marxist) today renominated P. Mohan in Madurai for the Lok Sabha election. A.V. Bellarmine will be the candidate in Nagercoil, the State secretary, N. Varadarajan, said.
Mr. Mohan won from Madurai as part of the All-India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam-led alliance in 1999. A member of the State committee, he contested unsuccessfully in 1991, 1996 and 1998.
Mr. Bellarmine is a Kanyakumari district committee member. Mr. Varadarajan said problems from a protest by Nagercoil Congress leaders against allotment of the seat to the CPI (M) would be sorted out by the time nominations were filed.
