No power cuts during SSLC exams: Minister
By Our Staff Reporter
THRISSUR,
FEB. 16.
The Electricity Minister, K. Muraleedharan, has said that there will no load-shedding during the SSLC examinations.
There would no power cuts during Shivaratri and the Maramon convention too, he told reporters here today.
A meeting has been called on February 19 to review the power situation and discuss ways to discontinue load-shedding, he added.
The Minister said that the State Government would try to avoid dividing the Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) into companies for power generation, transmission and distribution.
"If the Centre insists on division, companies will be formed in the public sector. The question of privatising KSEB does not arise," he said.
