HYDERABAD, FEB. 16. "The seven-day festival has elicited an unimaginable response from the people and was absolutely successful," was how the Minister for Commercial Taxes, K. Vijayarama Rao, described the just-concluded `Janda Panduga'. The week-long programme saw every Telugu Desam Party leader riding a bicycle, emulating the party president, N. Chandrababu Naidu. The enthusiasm shown by the people in general and party cadres in particular, was an indicator of the trust and faith people had in the party and the popularity that it enjoyed, Mr. Rao said. On Monday, the Commercial Taxes Minister participated in the `Janda Panduga' programme in Seri Lingampally municipality. The programme was originally scheduled on February 11, but the death of a party worker had forced it to be postponed.
