Royal Classic to set up spinning unit
CHENNAI: The Tirupur-based Royal Classic Mills plans to establish a state-of-the-art spinning facility as part of its backward integration, according to R. Sivaram, Executive Director, Royal Classic group. The Rs. 20 crore project, to be located in Palani, Tamil Nadu, will take care of the yarn required for the entire knitting and weaving needs of the company. The project with 16,000 spindle capacity is expected to commence production by November. It also plans to set up its own woven production line in Tirupur, Tamil Nadu with in-house washing and processing capability. The woven production facility is expected to be completed by June. Mr. Sivaram was here in connection with the launch of Spring Summer Collections 2004 in Chennai.
