GURGAON (HARYANA), FEB 17. Life came to a standstill here today, following a bandh call given by major political parties in protest against rising crime in the city. All shops and commercial establishments downed their shutters in response to the call given by the Congress, Shiv Sena and Bajrang Dal. Alleging that there was no law and order in the district, party spokesmen demanded dismissal of the Om Prakash Chautala government in the state. Vehicular traffic also remained disrupted in the town but the situation is under control as the district administration has deplored heavy police force in the town to control the situation, official sources said.
