HYDERABAD, FEB. 17. "Overwhelmed" by the success of the Godavari pushkarams, the Cabinet here on Tuesday allotted Rs 276.5 crores for the Krishna pushkarams during August-September. The Information and Public Relations Minister, S. Chandramohan Reddy, briefing reporters, said the meeting discussed the arrangements and constructions to be made for the event, estimating the turnout of pilgrims at more than five crores. New jobs: The Minister said the Cabinet also decided to create as many 15 lakh jobs in the State in the next five years, through five apparel and 12 textile parks being set up at a cost of Rs 122.49 crores and Rs. 109.41 crores, and through a series of leather parks contemplated. Out of these leather parks, 72 would be mini, 16 medium and six mega. Of them, 12 mini parks were completed along with the major leather complex named after Nayudamma at Gachibowli near Hyderabad. Work was in progress regarding 14 mini and 30 medium ones. The foundation-stone was laid for the international leather park being set up on 250 acres near Krishnapatnam in Nellore district.
