SSC exam on schedule

VISAKHAPATNAM,
FEB. 17.
As elections are not likely to commence before the first week of April, the SSC 2004 examination will be held from March 17 to April 1, as scheduled, according to the Commissioner and Director of School Education, Manmohan Singh.
Speaking to reporters here on Tuesday after attending the district-level headmasters meet in preparation of the SSC examination, he said the valuation of answer papers would also not be affected even if the elections were scheduled during that period since sufficient staff was available at each district.
While the DSC examination for recruitment of teachers would be held as scheduled from April 4 to 6, the schedule of VII class examination would be decided after the election schedule was announced, Dr. Manmohan Singh said.
