PALAKKAD, FEB. 17 . The employees of the Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Private Limited, Plachimada, in a statement here today, condemned the Government decision to stop drawing of groundwater. Thousands of families were dependent on this factory and any stoppage of work would affect the livelihood of these families, the statement said. The Coca-Cola Employment Protection Committee formed by its employees requested the Government to look at the facts and allow the Court to take a decision based on scientific facts and truth. The Association of Distributors of Coca-Cola (Kerala) said any adverse decision against the factory would affect the industrial atmosphere in the State.
