Impressive bowling by Karthik, Ponmariappan

Impressive bowling by medium pacers Karthik (four for 37) and Ponmariappan (four for 20) helped Sealines Cricket Club register an emphatic 112-run victory over Thermal Recreation Club `A' in the Indian Bank-Tuticorin District Cricket Association First Division league here recently.

The scores: First Division: Sealines CC 206 in 39.5 overs (Aldrin 56, Dharmaraj 46, Rajesh three for 35) bt TRC `A' 94 in 31 overs (Venkatesh 28, Karthik four for 37, Ponmariappan four for 20).

Pusco CC 180 in 39 overs (Karthik 71, Chandran 30, Suresh four for 35) bt Pearl City CC 173 in 40.2 overs (Raj 48, Navaz 28, Mohan three for 24).

Second Division: ASKR CC 150 in 35.1 overs (Gandhi 40, Sathyamoorthy three for 30, Omar three for 22) bt TAC CC 149 in 40.2 overs (Bose 25, Singaravelan 29, Govindan three for 42).

SPIC 107 in 29.1 overs (Senthil 32, Omar three for 22) lost to TAC CC 111 for two in 24.3 overs (Muthukumar 47 not out).

Young Waves CC 151 in 34.1 overs (Balamurugan 45, Amal 32, Ponsekar 37, Rajeshkumar four for 35, Raju four for 29) lost to Young Star CC 154 for three in 32.1 overs (Ramakrishnan 56, Fredrick 55 not out).

Third Division: ASTRA CC 202 for seven in 45 overs (Prabhu 53, Ando 37, Karthik Raj 74, Karthik three for 42) bt VOC CC 136 in 22 overs (Naveen 34, Sekar Gowda 29, Ando six for 23).

Youth CC 238 for seven in 40 overs (Raja Singh 60, Rajesh 40, Crispin 25, Karthik 39 not out, Udayakumar three for 36) bt Customs Eleven 162 in 22 overs (Muthukumar 28, Jainarayanan 31, Raja Singh three for 24).
