Kapil to campaign for friends

RANCHI, FEB. 17. The former cricketer Kapil Dev today ruled out joining any political party but said he would campaign for his best friends if invited to do so.

"I am not joining any political party but there would be no hesitation on my part in campaigning if any of my best friends approaches me," he said. "In the past, I canvassed for Chetan Chauhan (BJP) and the [late] Madhav Rao Sindhia (Congress). They were from different parties. Still I campaigned because of good friendship with the two."

Kapil Dev was here in connection with a charity match.
