KOCHI, FEB. 17. A total of 934 employees of the Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore (FACT) have opted for the voluntary retirement scheme (VRS) that closed on February 14. The applications of 480 FACT workers have been sent to the Union Ministry of Fertilizers and Chemicals for approval. Of these applications, decisions on 24 may be kept pending, it is learnt. The VRS applications are expected to be processed by this month end.
