HYDERABAD, FEB. 17. A student of Chirec school, Mithil Singh (14), drowned in the swimming pool located on the school premises at Kondapur in Madhapur police station area on Tuesday afternoon. ``We are yet to find out what exactly has happened and how the boy fell in the pool,'' the Narsingi Inspector said. According to the police, the boy's father, Lal Singh, of Dhoolpet received a call from the school at around 2.45 p.m. that Mithil fell in the pool accidentally and was shifted to a private hospital where the doctors declared him brought dead. No injuries were found on the body. The Narsingi Inspector said that investigation revealed that no coach was present when the boy slipped into the pool. However, Mithil's relatives raised suspicions over the ``mishap version'' stating that he was a good swimmer and won many prizes in swimming competitions. ``We haven't received any specific complaint from the victim's family till 10 p.m. A case will be registered under section 174 of the Cr.P.C. after receiving the complaint,'' the Narsingi Inspector said.
