HRD institute recommended for ISO certification

HYDERABAD,
FEB. 17.
The Dr. Marri Chenna Reddy HRD Institute, the apex training body of the State Government, has been recommended for award of ISO 9001, 2000, for excellence in the fields of training, consultancy and research publications by the Lead Authors and Registrars of UKAS, UK, on Tuesday.
The letter of recommendation was handed over to the Director-General of the Institute, P.V.R.K. Prasad, here today.
Describing it as a major milestone, he said the institute was one of the few State-run administrative training efforts to be recommended for quality certification by an international organisation. The certification process, he said, would ensure that quality systems were in place and the process sustained to build up linkages and establish a constant audit and surveillance system.
