HYDERABAD, FEB. 17. The lone Independent corporator in the Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad (MCH), Seelam Prabhakar (Ramgopalpet division), on Tuesday joined the ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP) with over two dozen of his supporters in the presence of the Chief Minister and party president, N. Chandrababu Naidu. Mr. Prabhakar, who was earlier with the Congress for a while before distancing himself, took out a rally that was meant to be ``impressive,'' but it ended up inconveniencing thousands of road users right from M.G. Road to the NTR Memorial Trust building in Banjara Hills. He garlanded the statue of the Mahatma before starting the rally. The Minister for Tourism, T. Srinivas Yadav, was present at the start of the rally and felicitated Mr. Prabhakar by presenting him a headgear. At the party headquarters, Mr. Naidu addressed Mr. Prabhakar and his supporters for about 15 minutes.
