Clear sky forecast

A mainly clear sky with likely minimum temperature of 17 degree Celsius has been forecast for the city for Wednesday. The city on Tuesday recorded a maximum temperature of 31.1 degree Celsius and a minimum of 16 degree Celsius. The relative humidity was 48 per cent.

MBA results declared

Dr. B.R. Ambekdar Open University has announced the MBA third year and M.A. (Sociology) first year results.

The results are available in the University web site www.braou.ac.in.

The University has also announced that the examination for PG second year (M.A. Economics, History, Political Science, Public Administration, Sociology, MSc (Maths) and MBA second year will be held from May 15.

A programme on `speed mathematics' will be held on February 22 between 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Literacy House Andhra Mahila Sabha, O.U Road. Further details can be had on phone 27098406 and 27096464.

Elected SIRC chairman

J. Venkateswalu, has been unanimously elected chairman of the Southern Regional Council of the Institute (SIRC) of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).

According to a press release issued here, Mr. Venkateswarlu, a practising chartered accountant in Hyderabad, was earlier the secretary, SIRC, in 2002-2003, and vice-chairman in 2003-2004. He will now hold the post of chairman for a period of one year.

Seminar on studies abroad

Visu consultants Ltd., is organising a free seminar on educational opportunities abroad exclusive for those studying Intermediate(Ten plus two) at Sundarayya Vignana Kendra, Baghlingampally, here on February 22.

Office-bearers

Munawar Hussain has been declared elected president of the Contractors Association of the Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad here on Tuesday. R. Hanumanth Sagar and M. Surender Singh were elected vice-presidents, B. Ramchandra Reddy as the general secretary, Allam Padma Rao and N. Hanumantha Rao were elected organising secretaries while A. Damodar Reddy was elected treasurer.
