By Our Staff Reporter
Bangalore Feb. 17. Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Ltd. (KPTCL) said on Tuesday that the power situation had not improved.
N. Vijayanarasimha, KPTCL Chief Engineer (Load Despatch Centre), told The Hindu that Karnataka received 160 mw from the Talcher Thermal power station in Orissa on Tuesday. Power supply from the Talcher station was disrupted on Sunday after a snag was detected on a 1,000-mw high-voltage direct current pole. Karnataka would be short of 600 to 700 MW for some more time, he added.
