Sourashtra College in semifinals

MADURAI, FEB.18. Sourashtra College entered the semifinals of the sixth annual T.V. Ramasubbiyer Memorial Trophy State-level inter-collegiate cricket tournament, conducted by Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, defeating V.H.N.S.N College, Virudhunagar by seven wickets at the college ground here on Wednesday.

The scores:

Quarterfinals: V.H.N.S.N. College 93 for six in 20 overs (Saravanan 35) lost to Sourashtra College 97 for three in 17.3 overs (Zaheer Abbas 36).

SLCS `B' 110 for eight in 20 overs (Deiveekan 25) lost to Thiagarajar College of Engineering 111 for six in 18.5 overs (Naveen 33, Ravi 29, Mohankumar three for 24).

SLCS `A' 180 for five in 20 overs (Ranjith 61, Shoibh 29, Gangeshkumar 27) bt Arulanandar College, Karumathur 47 in 11 overs (Chakravarthy three for zero).

Arulmigu Kalasalingam College of Engg., Krishnankovil 82 in 18.2 overs (Bose 26) lost to Madura College 86 for one in 16.1 overs (Bala Subramanian 33 not out, Srinivasan 34).
