Congress launches `India cheated campaign'

NEW DELHI, FEB. 18. The Congress today launched a ``India cheated campaign'' to apprise people of how they are being told ``lies'' repeatedly on different issues confronting them.

``A campaign is going on for the past few months to present untruth as truth. Peoples' money is being misused to blow the trumpet of the Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee. India has been cheated,'' senior Congress leader, Kapil Sibal, told reporters.

Announcing the launching of the `India cheated campaign' to counter the BJP's ``feel good factor'' campaign, Mr. Sibal assailed the advertisements in newspapers issued by various government departments on different issues and said the Vajapayee Government has directed various Ministries to come out with such ads.
