Law college gets new premises
BANGALORE,
FEB. 18.
Bishop Cotton Women's Christian Law College, the State's first law college for women, will move into new premises on Saturday. Bishop
S. Vasanthakumar of Karnataka Central Diocese, Church of South India, will dedicate the building in the presence of the Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs, D.B. Chandregowda, and the Minister for Higher Education, G. Parameshwara.
"The main college was started in 1985 to empower girls to think and act as ethical leaders of society'' said Principal Hephzibah S. Doss. The college motto in Latin meant "neither to the left nor the right" and implies steadiness and steadfastness, she said.
