PONDICHERRY, FEB. 19. The police yesterday arrested two teenager taxi drivers-cum-cleaners in connection with theft of six motorcycles. The Senior Superintendent of Police, Sunil Garg, told newsmen here today that during patrolling, a team, led by inspector D. Ravindran, attached to the Grand Bazaar station, arrested a taxi driver, M. Durairaj, near a supermarket on Mahatma Gandhi Road. A black colour Hero Honda Splendor was seized. On Durairaj's confession, his accomplice, T. Subramani was arrested. The two had stolen six motorcycles in various places in the town. Mr. Garg said the accused had been using a master key to steal the vehicles. The vehicles had been recovered and owners identified. The Superintendent of Police, Firoze Zia Hussain, asked the owners to keep the vehicles in the parking slots. He advised them to use the steering lock.
