Appointed consumer forum president

PONDICHERRY, FEB. 19. The Lieutenant Governor has appointed A. Asokan, an advocate of Kalmandapam here, president of the District Consumer Disputes Redress Forum on a wholetime basis. He will assume charge tomorrow.

Mr. Asokan, a former secretary of the Pondicherry Bar Association, will hold the charge for five years. He studied in the Pondicherry Government Law College and had been practising for the past 17 years.
