VELLORE, FEB.19. A new three-storeyed science block, comprising the chemistry, physics and biology laboratories on the ground, first and second floors, and a botanical roof garden on the terrace, constructed at a cost of Rs.67 lakhs in the Ida Scudder School here, was inaugurated by the first correspondent of the school, George Varkey, on Monday. The Director of the Christian Medical College Hospital and chairman of the school managing committee, George M. Chandy, unveiled the plaque. The principal, M.J.Samuel, said each laboratory, meant for students of Standards, IX to XII, could accommodate 40 students at a time.
