Shetti corners glory

BANGALORE, FEB. 19. Arun Mariba Shetti came up with a gold winning performance astride Big Ambition in the NEC novice jumping top score event on the opening day of the National Equestrian championship at the ASC (Agram) ground here on Thursday.

The results: National equestrian championship:

Novice jumping top score: 1. Arun Mariba Shetti/ Big Ambition (KARP, 870 pts, 48.5 secs), 2. Hav Madan Singh/ Matilda (Assam Rif, 720pts, 50.72 s); 3. LD Harsimranjeet Singh/ Bahadur (PBG, 720pts, 53.22s); 4. Hav Manoj Lama/ Farah (Assam Rif, 620 pts).

Show jumping successive relay: (Preliminary & novice grade): 1. President's Body Guard (LD Harsimranjeet Singh & Dfd Sajjan), 2. ASC centre & College ( Capt K.D Hooda & Hemraj), 3. President's Body Guard , 4. ASC Centre & College.

Bangalore horse show: Show jumping (junior top score): 1. Arun Mariba Shetti/ RE-5, 2. Cdt P.K Bagul/ Kismat, 3. Tim Tim Sharma/ Rambo,4. Zervan Suratia/ Red Butler.

Show jumping (sub-junior normal): 1. Foud Mirza/ El Dorado, 2. Kapilesh Bhate/Red Butler, 3. Aviva Bidappa/Sunspirit, 4. Maryk Sahney/ Knight Warrior.
