Western Union Money Transfer conference

MANGALORE: A Western Union Money Transfer Conference was held at the headquarters of Karnataka Bank here on Friday. Stressing on the point of improving the business of the bank and augmentation of non-interest income the Chairman of the bank, Ananthakrishna, stated that the non-interest income was an additional income to the bank by offering services and every effort should be made to increase the non-interest income. The General Manager, Jayagopal Yekkar, outlined the need for increasing the income by enhanced business with the support of organisations like Western Union Money Transfer Inc. Regional Manager, Western Union Money Transfer Inc., Rithish Kumar, gave an account of the business growth consequent to the tie-up with Karnataka Bank since 2001. - Our Staff Correspondent
