NEW DELHI, FEB. 20. Showing appreciable honesty, a Central Industrial Security Force personnel posted at the Indira Gandhi International Airport returned lost goods and foreign currency worth Rs 2 lakhs to two different passengers in the past 24 hours. In the first incident, a Sub-Inspector, N.A. Khan, found a leather pouch containing U.S. $ 2,000 on the floor of the main security handling area at the international terminal around 6-30 p.m. yesterday. The pouch was having a security clearance tag of Japan Airlines and it was opened in front of an airlines staff member for ascertaining the name of the owner. It was learnt that the pouch belonged to Dileep Agrawal who was travelling by the airlines and to locate him, repeated announcements were made over the address system. Mr Agrawal on hearing his name, met the CISF personnel who handed him the pouch which contained the foreign currency. The other detection was made around 2-25 this morning in which an unattended pouch was found lying in the main SHA of the NITC. Following announcements made to the effect, a passenger of flight no. EX-513, Boowan Raj, came forward to claim the pouch. On proper verification the pouch was handed over to him. It was subsequently revealed that it contained US $140 besides a Sony digital camera and a credit card.
