Krishnan NEW DELHI, FEB. 20. A U.S. Air Force plane made an emergency landing at the Indira Gandhi International Airport after one of its engines caught fire. All the 11 defence personnel on board were safe and the fire was extinguished while the KC-10 refueller was in the air, official sources said. The fire was detected soon after the aircraft took off at 2.21 p.m. and the plane landed safely after 23 minutes on the civilian side of the airport. The plane had fuelled American fighter jets in mid-air while they were on way to participate in the ongoing joint exercises in Gwalior.
