THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, FEB. 20. The decision of the High Court Division Bench that college managements had the right to ban organised students' politics on college campuses was unfortunate, the Nationalist Students' Congress (NSC) has said. In a statement issued here on Friday, the NSC said that it would go on appeal to the Supreme Court against this decision. The All-India Democratic Students' Organisation (AIDSO) too has protested against the court decision and said that the decision was a violation of fundamental democratic rights. The AIDSO claimed that the decision was part of a fascist conspiracy to suppress student movements against policies of globalisation. It will only help those camps interested in commercialising the education sector, it said in a statement here.
