KAKINADA, FEB. 21. The Municipal Council has resolved to allot a house site to the family of late Sagarapu Srinivasarao of Godarigunta who laid down his life in defence of the country in Kargil sector recently. At an emergency meeting held on Friday with the Chairperson, Chandra Sekhar, presiding, the council took up the suggestion of the senior councillor, Rambabu, and resolved unanimously to earmark one of the six muncipal sites in Bhaskar Nagar to the martyr's family. It recommended that the patta be handed over to the family through the district Collector. In another resolution, it approved a proposal to put up a public tap at AMG Road in the dairy farm area.
