HYDERABAD, FEB.21. The Andhra Pradesh Medical Employees' Union today demanded immediate release of funds for payment of salaries to lab technicians working in various institutions, including the Institute of Preventive Medicine, under the AIDS control programme. G. Ramchander, president, and Rajamallaiah, general secretary, in a statement, criticised the Government for not releasing the budget for payment of salaries, and described it as "callous negligence." Lab technicians were not paid for last eight months.
