CUDDAPAH, FEB.21. A man allegedly axed his wife to death and ended his life by consuming pesticide in Mydukur town on Saturday following an altercation between them, according to the police. G. Ramakrishna Reddy (45) and his wife, G. Lakshmamma (40) had a quarrel on selling away farm land to perform the marriage of their daughter, Sivagangamma. Reddy planned to sell away turmeric fields gifted by his mother-in-law, which was opposed by his wife, the police said. In a fit of rage Reddy reportedly hacked his wife to death and later consumed pesticide and ended his life in the fields. The Mydukur Urban Sub-Inspector Malla Reddy registered a case.
