NIZAMABAD, FEB. 21. The Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee president, D. Srinivas, on Saturday said the party would lodge a complaint with the Election Commission against the alleged misuse of Government machinery by the Telugu Desam Party for electoral gain. Speaking to newsmen at his residence here, Mr. Srinivas, said the TDP was making a mockery of the official machinery. He was particularly irked at the massive arrangements for the Vijayabheri meeting at Secunderabad on Sunday, for which, he said, the TDP Government had gone all out to misuse the machinery. The APCC chief urged EC officials to monitor the Vijayabheri meeting and rally and take appropriate action on the alleged misuse. He alleged that TDP leaders had directed owners of private buses, under hire with the Road Transport Corporation, to divert the services for the public meeting.
