TIRUMALA, FEB. 21. "Ananthalwar" gardens will be redeveloped and their flowers will be used for daily puja of the Lord in the hill temple. In his presidential address during the 950th birth anniversary celebrations of the saint, Ananthalwar, observed at the Asthana Mandapam on Saturday, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams Executive Officer, Ajeya Kallam, said he played a key role in establishing the "jeer" tradition in the temple. The Sri Venkateswara University Vice-Chancellor, P. Murali, in his key note address, said Ananthalwar had rendered an immeasurable service to the temple by growing gardens atop the hills. The TTD Alwar Divya Prabandha project director, Medasani Mohan, said efforts would be made to bring out a booklet on the lives of all Alwars. Later, Mr. Kallam felicitated the successors of the saint's family, including T.A.P. Krishnama Chari Swamy and T.A.P. Rangachari Swamy.
