`Vajpayee has promised help'

KOCHI, FEB. 21. The Chief Minister, A.K. Antony, has said that the Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajapayee, has offered to consider favourably the projects proposed by the State Government and also the request to release Rs.1,400 crores for drought relief.

The Chief Minister was speaking to mediapersons at the Cochin International Airport at Nedumbassery here the other day after his return from Delhi where he had met the Prime Minister, the Finance Minister, Jaswant Singh, and the AICC president, Sonia Gandhi. -- PTI
