Magisterial probe into Bandipore killings

JAMMU, FEB. 21. The Jammu and Kashmir Government has appointed Dheeraj Gupta, District Magistrate, Baramulla, as the officer to inquire into the circumstances leading to the death of five Gujjars in Bandipore area. He has been asked to submit the report within two months.

The appointment follows the Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed's announcement in the State Assembly to hold a magisterial probe into the deaths.
