Cricket tour a great step, says Mufti

NEW DELHI,
FEB.21
. The Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammed Sayeed, today said that the Indian cricket team's Pakistan tour would be "one of the greatest confidence-building measures."
"The Indian team's cricket tour will create a lot of confidence. It is a step in the right direction and a great step taken by the Centre," he said.
Referring to the ongoing peace process in the State, he said peace had its own momentum. On the Centre-Hurriyat dialogue, the Mufti said there was information that more persons would join the dialogue.
He was speaking to reporters here today after releasing a book, `Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh,' authored by Pervez Dewan, a senior IAS officer of the State. He said the seat-sharing arrangement with the Congress had not been finalised yet.
