KOLLAM, FEB. 21. The Minister for the Welfare of Scheduled Communities, M. A. Kuttappan, would inaugurate the 15th State conference of the Bharathiya Vikalanga Aikya Vedi (BVAV) here on February 22, its chairman, Karumalil Sukumaran, told reporters here today. The Labour Minister, Babu Divakaran, would inaugurate a public meeting later. Mr. Sukumaran said for the past many years the reservation provision for Government jobs for persons with disabilities was being totally ignored. In spite of several representations, the successive Governments had failed to solve the issue. He said the Welfare Cooperative Society for such persons was not functioning properly.
