CHITRADURGA, FEB. 21. The Molakalmuru police have arrested four persons and recovered 2.5 tonnes of copper wire, stolen from the KPTCL premises. The arrested have been identified as Veeresh, Basavaraja, Shankarappa, and Raja Bakshi, all hailing from Koppal town. According to the police, they used to steal copper wire used in power lines. On February 7, they had stolen copper wires in Kondlahalli and Konasagara villages. They were caught when they were trying to transport them in a Tata Sumo. Four more persons are still at large.
