THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, FEB. 21. A sum of Rs. 40 lakhs has been sanctioned by the State Government for repairing 12 roads in the Aryanad constituency, said a press release quoting the Culture Minister, G. Karthikeyan, here today. A sum of Rs. 4 lakhs each has been allotted for the repair of Karyode-Kokkottela Road, Chappath- Paankaavu Road, Panakkode-Pullikkonam Road, Kuthukuzhi-Perila and Vithura-Peppara Roads. An amount of Rs. 3 lakhs each has been granted for the repair of Mechira-Panayamcode Road, Aravankonam-Amachal Road, Anamcode Road, Kattakkada-Sri Krishnapuram Road, Kallamam- Edakkavu Paruthippalli Road and Madathikonam-Aattukadavu Road, while Rs. 2 lakhs has been allotted for the repair of the Kattakkada- Kanchiyurkonam Road. According to the release, the repair works would be completed in this financial year.
