NIZAMABAD, FEB. 22. An autorickshaw driver allegedly killed his wife and made an attempt on his three daughters at Amrad village in the Makloor police station limits late last night. According to the police, the autorickshaw driver, Madhu, hailing from Hyderabad, settled down in Amrad village. He reportedly took loan from villagers who in course of time mounted pressure for repayment. Madhu and his wife Renuka used to quarrel frequently on the issue. Yesterday also, the couple had a tiff and Madhu allegedly picked up a plastic rope and tied it around the neck of his wife and killed her. He made an attempt to kill his children in a similar way. However, the children raised alarm alerting their neighbours. The village sarpanch and others rushed to the house and took the children to the district headquarters hospital. The accused escaped in his autorickshaw. The body of Renuka was sent for post-mortem examination.
