CUDDAPAH, FEB. 22. The former MLA, V. Sivaramakrishna Rao, who recently quit the Congress, on Sunday announced his decision to join the Telugu Desam Party on February 25 in the presence of the Chief Minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu, in Hyderabad. Speaking to newsmen at Badvel, Dr. Rao alleged that he was denied due recognition in the Congress although he, along with his followers, strived to strengthen the party for the last 25 years. Developments in Badvel segment over the last two years, such as replacing him as Badvel constituency Congress in charge, caused mental anguish to him and his followers, Dr. Rao stated. The Congress leaders failed to consider his aspirations, the former MLA alleged. Replying to a query, he said the TDP leadership promised to give him due recognition.
