LONDON, FEB. 22. The architect of India's Test victory over Australia at Adelaide, Rahul Dravid, has won Sony TV's International Sports Personality of the Year award for 2003. He won the award edging out former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram and tennis star Leander Paes. Former England captain Mike Gatting received the award on Dravid's behalf. Former Pakistan captain Asif Iqbal received the Lifetime Achievement Award. Nine-year-old Sahil Agarwal, a budding cricketer, was adjudged Young Sports Personality of the Year, while 11-year-old Humzah Mahmood, an upcoming tennis star was given the Junior Sports Personality of the Year award.
