Governor's condition critical

Thiruvananthapuram Feb 22. The condition of the Governor, Sikander Bakht, who had undergone a surgery at the Medical College Hospital here on February 19, is reported to be critical.

According to hospital sources, Mr. Bakht was put on the ventilator this afternoon. He had contracted a viral infection and his blood pressure had dipped. Specialists from the Apollo Hospital, Chennai, too would arrive here on Monday to assist in managing his condition, hospital sources said.

Mr. Bakht was admitted to the Medical College hospital last week following pain in the abdomen and had undergone the surgery to remove an obstruction in his small intestine.
