Bengali actress dead
KOLKATA,
FEB. 24.
Actress Subrata Chatterjee, who has appeared in over 100 films and a dozen plays, died at a Government hospital here after suffering from a protracted illness. Subrata, 62, is survived by a daughter. Her husband, Tarun Kumar, brother of the late Uttam Kumar, died a few months ago. Subrata, who shot to fame playing an important role in "Pushpadhanu" in 1959, made her debut in the film "Ladies' Seat" in 1954.
