iGate opens new campus

BANGALORE: iGate Global Solutions, a Bangalore headquartered IT services company, opened a new corporate headquarters, with a capacity for some 900 employees, here on Monday. The first phase of the campus cost was Rs. 30 crores and included a built-up area of one lakh sq. ft., a company release said. iGate CEO, Phaneesh Murthy, said this unit was `workflow enabled' to house both IT and process staff under one roof. This meant, for instance, a cost saving of up to 50 per cent on loans processed for banking clients of iGate, he said. The company planned to invest Rs. 50 crores on the second phase, which will have a built up area of two lakh sq. ft., planned to hold some 1700 employees. In three years this campus would have 3300 employees, he said. The second phase was expected to be ready by December. The final phase will have a built up area of another 80,000 sq. ft.
