Mr. Naidu arrived by helicopter at Puthukurvandlapalle village in Rayachoti mandal around 11 a.m. and visited the adjoining Rayalaseema Harijana Girijana, Backward Classes and Minorities Seva Samithi office, in which Siddhaiah was shot dead by naxalites on the night of February 21. He consoled the family members and gave away a cheque of Rs. 10 lakhs as the Government compensation and Rs. 1 lakh from the TDP fund to Siddhaiah's adopted son, Siddhu Hussain. The son and daughters of the slain leader, O. Hussain Bee, C. Siddhamma and V. Rajamma, and the office directors explained the manner in which he was killed. Later, Mr. Naidu proceeded by road to Venkatareddipalle village in Ramapuram mandal and offered condolences to the family members of Vasudeva Reddy's family. The leader's widow, Chennakrishnamma, and sons, P. Venkatakrishna Reddy and P. Lakshmikar Reddy, were given cheques for Rs. 12 lakhs including Rs. 2 lakhs from the party fund.
