HYDERABAD, FEB. 24. A two-volume biography of the legendary film actor and former Chief Minister, N. T. Rama Rao, written by his wife, N. Lakshmi Parvati, will be formally released here on February 26. Titled `Eduruleni Manishi' (a man without parallel), the first volume takes the reader through NTR's childhood, his marriage, the trials and tribulations he underwent to secure a job and later a foothold in the film industry where he reached the pinnacle. In the second volume, `Telugu Tejam' Mrs. Lakshmi Parvati deals with the short but tumultuous political career of NTR who took the State by storm when he launched the Telugu Desam in 1982. Talking to reporters here on Tuesday, the NTR-TDP president said she had dealt extensively in the second volume about with `betrayal' of her husband by the Chief Minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu, and how he had jockeyed himself to the second position in the Telugu Desam. She said the book would be released by the Lok Janashakthi Party leader, Ram Vilas Paswan, a close associate of NTR who supported him even after he was unseated by Mr. Naidu in 1995. The film-maker, Dasari Narayan Rao, would preside over the function while the Congress leader, Y. S. Rajasekhar Reddy, and leaders of Left parties were special invitees.
