Anand to take part in simultaneous chess

KOZHIKODE, FEB. 24. Former World champion Viswanathan Anand will take part in a World champions' simultaneous chess in Valencia, Spain, from June 4 to 6 to promote chess in schools in the region.

Anand's schedule for 2004:

Bundesliga, April 24-25, Baden Baden (Germany); French league, May 5-8, Cannes; World champions simul, June 4-6, Valencia; Dortmunder Schachtage, July 22-August 1, Dortmund (Germany); Mainz Chess Classic, August 4-9, Mainz (Germany); 36th Chess Olympiad, October 14-31, Mallorca (Spain); Corsica Masters, November 2-5, Bastia (Corsica). — Our Sports Reporter
