PUDUKOTTAI, FEB. 25 . The electoral rolls for all five Assembly constituencies in the district were published today. In an official release here, the Collector, Hiteshkumar Makwana, said the Thirumayam, Kolathur (SC), Pudukottai, Alangudi and Aranthangi constituencies had an electorate of 10,58,980 (5,17,727 men and 5,41,253 women). A total of 1,015 polling stations were set up. Action was being taken to set up 48 auxiliary stations wherever the electorate exceeded 1,500. Around 1,500 Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) were kept ready for the Lok Sabha elections, and the administration would soon launch programmes for the demonstration of the EVMs.
