Launch of Kannada daily today

TUMKUR, FEB. 25. A new Kannada daily published by Siddhi Syndicate Company will be launched here on Thursday. The company's directors, N.C. Gangadhara Sastry and S. Suma Prasannakumar, and the daily's editor, G. Renukaradhya, told presspersons here on Wednesday that it would be a multicolour edition.

G. Parameshwar, Minister for Higher Education and Information, T.B. Jayachandra, Minister for Food and Civil Supplies, S.R. Shantala, President of Tumkur Zilla Panchayat, and I.M. Vittala Murthy, Commissioner, Transport and Information, would attend the inaugural function at Siddhi Vinayaka Community Hall at Vinayakanagar here, they said.
